Dear Continuing Jan Ken Po Gakko (JKPG) Families:
We have completed our 2011 Jan Ken Po Gakko and I hope your child(ren) had a fun time. Now that your child(ren)
has/have participated in the 2011 Jan Ken Po Gakko summer program and if all volunteer requirements have been
met, you will be guaranteed a spot for your child(ren) for summer 2012. Please do not forget your children that will be
entering 1st grade in Fall 2012. They have now reached Gakko age.
The 2012 summer session will be from June 25 – July 13, 20112 (July 4th no gakko). Classes are held Monday
through Friday from approximately 8:45 am – 12:00 noon at the Sacramento Japanese United Methodist Church
(SJUMC) at 6929 Franklin Boulevard. The program is offered to children who are beginning first through sixth grade
as of Fall 2012. Registration donation will remain the same at $200 per child
If you would like to participate in Jan Ken Po Gakko for summer 2012, please confirm by mailing completed and
signed by a parent or guardian the 2012 Registration Form and a check for the full registration donation of $200
postmarked by August 15, 2011 to the address listed below.
Please review the Registration Guidelines. If you have any questions, please to contact me. If you know of any
potential families, please have them contact me or forward the website link to them. If we receive their tuition and
forms by August 15, 2011, they will be considered for next summer and included in the lottery (if necessary).
